Shape & Weight:
Large, round fruit, usually weighing between 1–1.5 kg.
Color:
When ripe, the skin turns lemon-yellow with a bright red blush, creating an eye-catching appearance.

Deep yellow flesh with a firm, smooth texture, low fiber, and a rich sweetness balanced with a subtle hint of acidity.
Tree Characteristics:
The R2E2 tree is vigorous and visually attractive, capable of growing up to 6–8 meters tall. However, its branches are relatively brittle and require careful handling.
Seasonality:
Peak harvest season typically runs from October to February.
Origin and Background:
R2E2 mango was selected in 1982 from a Kent seedling in Australia and was named after the row and tree position at the Bowen Research Station under the Queensland Department of Agriculture.
Usage and Storage:
- Suitable for fresh consumption, smoothies, salads, and desserts thanks to its firm flesh.
- Store at room temperature until ripe.
- Once ripe, it can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 4 days to maintain freshness.
